Projects can reach us in a variety of ways (or we pursue them, it depends on how you see it). In the case of NLG in Woerden we were lucky: after we had finished a job for Verus educational institution in a satisfactory way, the insurer moved into the same building.
On the advice of the owner of the building we could also set to work for NLG. On the ground floor we could create fourteen workplaces, as well as two meeting rooms and a coffee corner. As smoothly as this project reached us, just as streamlined was the rest of the design and its implementation. Indeed, the first design we drew immediately hit the mark and we could carry it out integrally.
For this reason, we divided the workplaces in pairs along the façade, which created space for the meeting spots and coffee space in the middle of the room. This place was given a very cosy character, if we may say so. NLG is lucky to have a central restaurant-café on the ground floor, that other companies can also use. This gave the coffee corner more breathing space, as lunch can be had elsewhere.
Thanks to sleek wooden slats on the ceiling and an interplay of a PVC floor and carpet, this relatively narrow space was given a slightly different feel from the workplaces. A fine piece of office with a hotel-like appearance, perfectly suited for having a chat, a coffee or to read the newspaper.
