Daikin

The market leader in climate solutions

The meeting space on the seventh floor has been turned into a real ‘break’ that invites making easy contact and connecting with colleagues or clients.

For the originally Japanese company Daikin, specialising in air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems, we had already restyled several floors at their headquarters in Capelle aan den IJssel. Daikin contacted Sprank again and asked us if we could continue the then created look & feel to the top two floors of the building where they have the executive offices and other office functions.

Daikin is growing fast as the climate system industry is going through major developments and changes.

They wanted to see this growth reflected in the building by giving it a brighter, cooler look that matches this day and age – for which we were happy to use the colours black, blue and white that are also seen in Daikin’s company style. Using these company colours would also instantly create a clear feeling of where you are.

As we went along, the project gradually extended. The initial commission just focused on several adjustments in the office spaces but, ultimately, this turned into a much more extensive reconfiguration in which we were able to implement our vision of what a versatile and healthy office landscape needs. The meeting space on the seventh floor has been turned into a real ‘break’ that invites making easy contact and connecting with colleagues or clients. This space will certainly prove its worth, especially in a growing environment that will need to attract many new employees.
