Harmony

Insurer of mobile phones

We designed an office landscape with a modern appearance, but with a warm ambiance. Purple and green turned out to be the perfect colour combination.

Harmony is an insurer of mobile phones. At their new location on Admiraliteitskade in Rotterdam, we created an office landscape that provides opportunity for both serenity and buzz.

When your company is moving, a workplace analysis could be highly valuable. After all, you want to avoid the perception of being in a ballroom, but at the same time some additional space for growth would be nice. Therefore, we started the close-knit cooperation with Harmony with a thorough workplace analysis.

Challenges will be found in each project. In the case of Harmony, it was important to find the balance between serenity and buzz.

Such a service centre obviously always involves the necessary dynamics, with a lot of people making phone calls. But there are also plenty of colleagues who need more tranquillity to perform their tasks.

We designed an office landscape with a modern appearance, but with a warm ambiance. Purple and green turned out to be the perfect colour combination. The new office landscape provides opportunity to meet each other in an accessible way. But it is just as easy to isolate yourself from others for a moment.

Together with Harmony, we devised five spaces: Mute was created to find silence. In Connect, on the other hand, you make contact with colleagues. And then, the IMEI (which stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity) takes things a step further. In the Apple studio, we created a section where video and footage can be recorded. And the Key room puts the connection with the outside world central. This is all being ‘supervised’ by Graham Bell, the founder of telephony, that we converted into a modern purple-green fashion. And of course, enough Rotterdam elements were used, that are quite appropriate for a location near the water.
